Marcella

"Style isn't about newness. It's about permanence."
The Seller
""I only list what I'd still consider keeping. That's the only standard I hold myself to.""
Marcella discovered her signature aesthetic during three years in Milan — structured shapes, quiet luxury, a wardrobe that never needs to shout. Her closet reflects a decade of intentional buying: pieces from Celine, The Row, and Toteme that have outlasted every trend cycle they've lived through.
She came to Now & Again because she wanted a platform that understood what she was selling. Not just items — a point of view. "Poshmark felt like a garage sale. This feels like lending my wardrobe to someone who actually gets it."
Today, Marcella's closet has over 200 followers on the app. Three of her buyers have purchased from her more than five times each. She calls them her "regulars" — and texts them personally when something she thinks they'd love drops in her closet.

Style Philosophy
The art of buying less and choosing well.
Marcella's approach to fashion is the opposite of fast. She spends months researching a piece before purchasing. She tracks whether she's still reaching for it two years later. If the answer is yes, it earned its place. If not, it finds its way to her Now & Again closet — where it can become someone else's favourite.
"I think about each piece I list the same way I thought about buying it. Is this still beautiful? Does it have a second life in it? Every item in my closet has a story — and I want the person who buys it to inherit that."
Her philosophy has attracted a community of like-minded buyers who return not just for the pieces, but for the curation itself.

On building
a real following.
"What surprised me most was how personal it became. I have buyers who message me to ask if I have anything new coming. They trust my taste — and I take that seriously. I won't list something I'm not proud of just to hit a number."
"Now & Again gave me the tools to actually build something. Not just move inventory — build a community around what I love."

Questions for
Marcella.
"What's the first thing you consider when deciding to list something?"
Whether I'd be upset if it sold immediately. If the answer is yes, it doesn't go up. Everything in my closet is something I'm genuinely ready to release — and that energy comes through to buyers.
"How has Now & Again changed how you sell?"
It's the first platform where I feel like a brand, not just a seller. My closet page is mine — it has my story, my aesthetic, my voice. Buyers don't just see items. They see a point of view, and they either connect with it or they don't. The ones who do always come back.
"What would you say to someone considering applying to sell?"
If your closet has a soul, this is the right place for it. If you're just trying to clear things out quickly, there are faster platforms. But if you care about what you're selling and who you're selling to — apply. You'll find your people here.
"What does sustainable fashion mean to you personally?"
Buying slowly and carefully. And when something's ready to move on, making sure it goes somewhere it will be valued. Resale, when it's done right, isn't a secondary market. It's a continuation of a garment's life. I want the pieces I loved to keep being loved.
