Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 13, 2026
Now and Again LLC (“Now & Again,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website shopnowandagain.com and the Now & Again mobile application (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Account and profile information — name, email address, phone number, city, username, password, profile photo, and any bio or closet description you add.
- Waitlist and application details — email address, city, Instagram handle, and answers you provide when joining the waitlist, applying to sell, or applying to the Founding Closet or City Curator programs.
- Style quiz responses — sizes, preferred brands, style preferences, and similar details you share so we can match you with closets and recommend items.
- Listings and transactions — descriptions, photos, brand, size, condition, and price of items you list; purchases you make; shipping addresses; and messages you exchange with other members or with us.
- Payment information — payment and payout details are collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or bank account numbers on our systems.
- Communications — the contents of emails, support requests, and any feedback or survey responses you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, app version, pages and screens viewed, items viewed or saved, search terms, referring URLs, and the dates and times of your activity.
- Cookies and similar technologies — we and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure site traffic, and understand how the Services are used. See “Cookies and Analytics” below.
- Approximate location — inferred from your IP address, or precise location if you choose to enable location services in the app (used, for example, to show local events and closets in your city).
Information from other sources
- Authentication partners — results of item authentication checks performed by our authentication provider.
- Social media — if you interact with us on Instagram or link a social account, we may receive your public handle and profile information.
- Referrals and invitations — when an existing member invites you, we receive your name and email or phone number from that member.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account, and operate the invite-only and Founding Closet programs;
- Match you with closets, sellers, and items using your sizes, style preferences, and brand affinities, and to power features such as The Hunt and The Edit;
- Process listings, purchases, payments, seller payouts, sales tax, shipping labels, and returns;
- Verify items, sellers, and buyers, and enforce our authentication and community standards;
- Send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, payout notices, account alerts) and, with your consent where required, marketing emails and notifications about drops, events, and editorial content;
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- Analyze usage to improve, personalize, and develop the Services;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, counterfeit goods, abuse, and other harmful activity;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- With other members — your username, profile photo, closet name, listings, and public profile details are visible to other members. When you buy or sell an item, the counterparty receives the information needed to complete the transaction (for example, a shipping address is provided to the seller or shipping label service).
- Service providers — companies that help us run the Services, including payment processing and sales tax (Stripe), shipping labels and tracking (EasyPost and carriers such as USPS), item authentication, cloud hosting, email and SMS delivery, analytics, and customer support. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
- City Curators and stylists — if you work with a Now & Again curator or a stylist who lists on your behalf, we share the information needed to manage those listings and sales.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Now & Again, our members, or the public; or to investigate fraud or counterfeit goods.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
- With your consent — for any other purpose you direct or agree to, such as being featured in Closet Stories or on our social channels.
4. Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses essential cookies that are necessary for the site to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand traffic and usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, but we honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.
5. Your Choices
- Account information — you can review and update your profile and preferences in the app at any time.
- Marketing communications — unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, reply STOP to any marketing text, or adjust notification settings in the app. You will still receive transactional messages about your account and orders.
- Push notifications and location — manage these through your device settings.
- Deleting your account — email us at the address below to request deletion. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes and completing pending transactions.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, opt out of certain processing, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise these rights by contacting us at the address below. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations (including tax and payment records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and processing payments through PCI-compliant providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
9. Children
The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Users
Now & Again is based in the United States and the Services are currently offered in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
11. Third-Party Links
Our editorial content, including The Edit and Rachel’s Resale Roundup, may link to third-party sites and marketplaces. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Services and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
